She is also committed to using the best installation practices possible. The owner of The Garden Tutors. Carole is involved in design, supervising the installation and maintenance parts of the business. We follow social distancing guidelines using masks when necessary and if we do work for you, you do not need to be in the yard with the workers.

About us
Report
The Garden Tutors was started in 2005 by Carole as a garden design and education business with the desire to help want-to-be gardeners learn the skills they need to be successful.
Gardening and gardening education has been in our blood for three generations beginning with Carole's grandparents.
They started a retail Nursery and Garden Center called Scenic Nursery in 1949 which grew and expanded with her father Jim Rogers until they won the Modesto Bee's best nursery 12 years in a row.
Jim eventually closed the family garden center and installation company, Scenic Nursery, in 2011 with the thought toward retirement and to help out his daughter with her business.

The design is critical to a successful garden.
Our two hour consultation usually give us time to discuss what you are looking for, suggest ideas that you may not be considering and create a plan.
With our background helping hundreds of people create their personal oasis we usually have Ideas to suggest that the average client hasn't considered.
Ultimately though the decision is yours.
A key part of our design philosophy is consulting wth the client while the design is being created.

This gallery is just a few of the projects we have designed for our clients.
We do small projects that are just a small front yard in downtown Sacramento to large properties in Carmichael and in the foothills.
We do yards that are just renewing an old overgrown planting to major hardscaping projects with large patios, pergolas, retaining walls and walkways.
We approach each project working to create a unique design that fits the needs, wants and budget of each client.
This was a complete re-do of the entry to create the courtyard, and use low water plantings to reduce water use.

I hope you are doing well!
I just wanted you to know that I am thoroughly enjoying my yard.
You and your team truly did beautiful work and really created exactly what I wanted.
I'm now getting planters for a simple herb garden.
This is something my Mom would have cherished and enjoyed.
Thank you again for helping keep her memories alive and for bringing this place the peace and tranquility I was looking for.
Have a beautiful day Carole!
