Business Details
We draw inspiration from a deep love of nature and the elements we harvest from the earth. Our palette includes stone, wood, steel, and a rich variety of flora. Our designs are grounded in years of construction experience that allow us to use these materials for highly practical, elegant gardens. We view each garden as an extension of the home, offering a beautiful outdoor living space that enhances everyday life. Our mission is to bring people outside and into the elements. Element Garden Design was founded by Nao Nemoto, whose youth was spent in Japan, Europe, and the Bay Area. Nao earned a degree in Architecture and then pursued roles as construction foreman, professional gardener, woodworker, and landscape designer.
These diverse experiences culminated in a mastery of multiple trades that he now applies to his passion for landscaping. We have completed projects in Berkeley, Oakland, and the San Francisco Bay Area, among others. Our clients appreciate our eye for natural elegance, harmonizing plant materials with hardscape such as patio pavers, rock work, benches, and stairs. We pride ourselves on reliable communication, translating ideas into beautiful, functional form while staying on schedule.
