Garden Design

Founded in 1986 by Jane Singer and Katherine Lee, Garden Design has evolved from serving a local clientele to providing comprehensive landscape services across the Bay Area. Our team combines decades of expertise with a commitment to sustainable practices, creating outdoor spaces that harmonize with their natural surroundings. Jane Singer, a founding partner with advanced education in eco-systems management, brings scientific precision to garden design, while Doug Lee, a third-generation Marin County native, contributes modern construction expertise and project management acumen. Through three decades of growth and adaptation, we've maintained our core philosophy of integrating client vision with environmental stewardship. Our services span the complete lifecycle of garden development, from initial assessment and design to installation and long-term maintenance.

We specialize in crafting landscapes that balance aesthetic appeal with functional longevity, incorporating elements like irrigation systems, hardscaping, and outdoor living structures. Our approach emphasizes proactive care and adaptive maintenance to ensure gardens thrive through changing seasons and conditions. With a proven track record in both residential and commercial projects, we've built lasting relationships through transparent communication and budget management. Our team's educational background from institutions like Antioch University and the University of Utah informs our technical proficiency and innovative problem-solving. Today, we continue to serve Marin, Napa, Sonoma, San Francisco, and surrounding regions with the same dedication to quality that defined our early projects.
