Kirby's Lawn & Landscaping
Kirby's Landscaping, Inc. began in 1996 as a one-man operation. Charles Kirby Jr. transformed his grandfather's boat trailer into his first landscaping trailer with a little DIY elbow grease and Kirby's Landscaping was born. With Charles' consistent hard work and attention to detail it didn't take long for the word to spread that Charles cared about quality, honesty, meeting his customers needs and his company grew.

Over the years Charles has mentored employees and shared his passion for prioritizing customer service and today our knowledgeable staff's top priority is customer satisfaction. Charles continues to strive to offer the best Landscaping Services in the Richmond area through continuing education and developing new ways to serve your landscaping needs better.

We are committed to being the first people you want to call to make your home your favorite place to enjoy and relax.

Lawn Nutrition
Report
At Kirby's Landscaping we use an Organic Compost Tea called Holganix as our base for Nutrition Applications.
This compost tea is a liquid fertilizer that adds much needed microbes and nutrients into the soil that chemical fertilizers just can't compete with.
Applying Holganix enhances the health of the soil naturally, which in turn improves the quality of the grass, reflecting its nutrient rich environment.
The industry's alternative to compost tea and what is most commonly found in nutrition programs, are chemical treatments.
Aeration and Seeding
Report
We schedule A&S in the late summer/early fall season.
After completion of aerating you will see the plugs of soil left behind.
These will dissolve back into the turf with watering/rain fall and over time.
They are important to be left on the soil to continue to replenish nutrients and soil contact for new seed.
Industry standard is to NOT cut over the new seed, have mowers or heavy equipment on the lawn for up to 3 weeks after completion.
Please also try to keep pets off the newly seeded areas as well as much as possible to allow for undisturbed growth and root establishment.
